Why This Role Exists

A regulated financial services firm is undergoing a technology transformation programme and needs experienced interim CISO leadership for a 9-month engagement. The permanent CISO departed and the organisation needs someone who can maintain security governance, lead the team through a cloud migration, and support regulatory engagements while they conduct a permanent search.

What Good Looks Like

You have held CISO or Deputy CISO roles within financial services or similarly regulated environments. You can hit the ground running, maintain stakeholder confidence, and provide strategic direction without the luxury of a long onboarding period. FCA regulatory experience and cloud security transformation expertise are essential.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic security leadership during the transition period. Maintain security governance and reporting to the board risk committee. Lead the security workstream of the cloud migration programme. Manage relationships with the FCA and external auditors. Ensure continuity of the security operations function and support handover to the permanent CISO.
