Why This Role Exists

A major energy utility is creating a dedicated cyber security function to protect its operational technology estate and meet evolving NIS2 obligations. This is a new leadership role reporting to the CTO, with a mandate to build and lead a team of 12 across GRC, SecOps, and OT security.

What Good Looks Like

You will have led a cyber security function within a regulated CNI environment, ideally energy or utilities. You combine strategic vision with operational credibility, can communicate risk to board level, and have experience building teams from scratch. OT/ICS security exposure is essential, not desirable.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the cyber security strategy aligned to business objectives and regulatory requirements. Build, mentor, and lead a multi-disciplinary security team. Establish governance frameworks covering IT and OT environments. Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, and key technology partners. Own the incident response capability and ensure resilience across critical systems.
